The swiftcat9·6 is designed to provide optimal safety, low hull resistance, stability and performance. This is the ideal craft for the serious fisherman, for use as a survey/dive boat or a general work boat.
The hull was designed by Professor Bob van Niekerk of Boatloft, SA, who has a history of fast catamaran design dating back to the late 1960’s. The patented hull design incorporating several unique features allows for reduced risk of broaching in the heaviest following seas and a top speed in excess of 40 knots. This coupled with the safety of six water tight compartments and the comfort of twin engines the Swiftcat can offer a safety factor that no mono-hull can equal.
During 2009 we have designed and constructed new superstructure moulds and a full wheelhouse with an enclosed foredeck. A flybridge cruiser style layout with a large open-plan cockpit is now an option for the expanding demand for catamarans in the leisure market. To be launched at the Seawork Show in Southampton 16th–18th June 2009.

Build
We left nothing to chance with the structure of our vessel, and commissioned JB Design to plan the lay-up schedule to exceed the requirements of S.I.F.A, RCD and the MCA. We also use a 100% GRP and composite construction where possible.
